Public Health Wales has launched a new funding programme to support community-led gambling harm initiatives across the region. The Gambling Harms Voluntary Sector Grant Fund will distribute up to £700,000 annually over a two-year period.
Programme Scope and Eligibility
The funding stream is financed through the Gambling Levy and targets voluntary sector groups operating across Wales. Organisations of any size may submit applications for financial support. The allocation prioritises locally driven projects designed to reduce the negative impacts of gambling on residents.Public Health Wales, the national public health agency for NHS Wales, established the fund to expand prevention efforts outside clinical settings. The two-year framework allows community groups to develop and sustain outreach activities. Applications will be processed according to the agency’s standard grant procedures.
